Why this piece is awesome: This is a combined medium piece, with a drawn layer over a digital edit layer. What I love about this is that sketch portrait of Raven is highlighted by the metal crane that Finn made her in the background, with textures and colors that give the piece depth.

Why this piece is awesome: This piece of art is serious business: the technique and skill of the artist takes its subject completely seriously, with excellent detail and vibrant color that shows off Lexa in action with her swords and full battle dress. Except Lexa here is her alternate universe raccoon bad self. It's great and funny and still a beautiful piece.

Why this piece is awesome: Kane and Abby from season 3, I love the two of them together here, holding on and gazing lovingly at each other. It's pencil, I think, so the drawing is in shades of gray but with crisp lines and subtle shading that really bring them to life.

Why this piece is awesome: This drawing of Bellamy is dark with a textured layer that gives it a worn photograph feel. It's an excellently drawn portrait with Bellamy staring at the viewer with a set and determined jaw that really gets across the tone that this is about survival.

Why this piece is awesome: Okay, this one I'm including because it's funny. It's a cartoonish style portrait of Clarke as a rather surprised grounder. It made me laugh.

Why this piece is awesome: This is a black and white drawing of Clarke and Lexa together in Lexa's bed. I love that the gray colors of the lines give the piece a softness that adds to the intimacy of the scene, along with the expression of pleasure on Lexa's face. It's the two of them coming together finally.

Why this piece is awesome: A rare!pair, Bellamy and Raven on the show have great chemistry. What I love about this piece is that the two of them get a happy ending. The art itself is calm and I love the scene-setting with them walking off together into their future.

Why this piece is awesome: Two posters on a theme, we have Clarke on one with her new title, and Lexa on the other with hers. The two pieces complement each other and have several layers. On the first, you have the women themselves, staring challengingly at the viewer, one hand each raised, one with blood. Behind and over them you have the symbols of their people, where they're from, who they represent. The art itself is fantastic: the detail, the expressions on their faces, the clothing even. But I love the almost tarot card expression of who they are too. These are two leaders, alike in dignity and power.

Why this piece is awesome: This is an incredible piece of Marcus in season 3 (no spoilers, just the beard). It's a side portrait of him with his head bowed, like he's got the weight of everything on his shoulders. It's very intimate, and I think what makes it for me is the feathering in his hear and smattering of gray.

Why this piece is awesome: The top of the two pieces in the post is the one I'm reccing. It's an excellent portrait of Murphy and I really like the yellow colors that fit the palate of one of his journeys on the show. What I really like is how the broad simple lines and contrasts, especially on the clothing, come together to create the whole.

Why this piece is awesome:What I love about this is the attitude that comes through when one of Monty's best moments on the show is meshed with the flower crown that symbolizes the fanon around Monty. He's a minor character that's the type you never want to see hurt, and yet he has a steel backbone when it comes to his friends, and he won't abandon them.

Why this piece is awesome: What I like about this piece is that it shows a stolen moment between Clarke and Lexa. You only see the backs of their heads, but it's unmistakably them, and it hits that need for a happy ending between those two.

Why this piece is awesome: This is a dark piece in terms of color, showing a near-silhouette of Lexa but with her eyes lit up. There's a real sense of menace and threat to the piece that encapsulates the threat the character embodies with her position as commander of a fierce army. I really like the tone it carries.

Why this piece is awesome: As the title says, Lexa isn't in her battle gear in this painting. Her lighter clothes are feminine, you see her curves. And yet, the pose and posture and the knife in her hand still all convey Lexa's confidence and danger. It's a really wonderful piece that gives life to another side of the character without removing all the things that define her.

Why this piece is awesome: This is a semi-abstract piece, in that it's about Clarke, but focuses on different parts of her. You don't see her face, but the artist has included her hands, her lower body in profile with a weapon, the back of her head approaching a door that she can't walk back out of. It's looking at the internal consequences of her actions with hard lines and spare colors that I think works pretty well.
