Why this piece is awesome: Fascinating glimpse at an AU Pearl (who I believe is meant to be the creator of the artwork behind her — at full size you can just about read the tag under the picture). The colors and Pearl's expression are great, and I love how different this is from all the other SU art I've encountered.

Why this piece is awesome: It's a gorgeous nighttime urban seaside scene. I love the warm light from the buildings and the volcano in the distance. I like how the artist conveyed the sandy shore with the black shadows, too. It's just really lovely!
