Why this piece is awesome: This is a powerful and dramatic image of dark!Ed very much as Blackbeard, at the end of the series. Plus, there's a WIP video of the painting process here, which is always fun. The way his eyes look to be brimming with suppressed tears really gets me.

Why this piece is awesome: This is a gorgeous profile portrait of Shen Qiao. The colors are muted and soft, his expression is tranquil and kind. There's a sense of gentle movement in the flow of his hair. I love this piece for how at peace it feels - it makes me happy, it makes me smile. With the suggestion of a breeze and the bamboo staff in his hand, there's the anticipation of setting out on a journey - which is true for when this art is set, at the beginning of the story!
