Why this piece is awesome: My last rec for the month is a cross-over with the movie T2 Trainspotting. This piece is inspired. I absolutely love Bucky's confused expression, Sam with attitude, and Natasha's raised brow. And then there's Steve's facepalm in the backround - something about it just cracks me up. *g* Also, this artist is AMAZINGLY talented, so have fun going through all their archived art. :)

Why this piece is awesome: This is a Captain America/Star Wars: The Force Awakens crossover. The artist herself noted, "I kept thinking about Star Wars AU and had to add Bucky as a storm trooper, because guess who else broke their conditioning and escaped an evil organization?", which perfectly sums up why I think this piece works. I also love the casting of Steve as a Jedi, and Tony as a Resistance pilot.

Why this piece is awesome: This is a brilliant mash-up, perfect for the character. Instead of the mask, the Winter Soldier is muzzled like Max in Fury Road, and he has Furiosa's prosthetic in place of his high tech arm. He's got this feral look, nicely emphasized by the smear of black grease framing his eye and that snarl. He looks like he's been through hell, and he's just gonna keep on going. Great piece.

Why this piece is awesome: The composition in this is really great. I love Steve's very determined face, getting ready to punch some Nazis. Diana is beautiful, strong, confident, and harkens back to Lynda Carter's portrayal. I also like the throwing of the tank imagery, which reminded me of that awesome moment in the Wonder Woman (2017) movie. These two make such an amazing team-up, and the artwork really does their characters justice. :)

Why this piece is awesome: It's a Hogwarts Avengers AU that really captures the essence of the characters if they were teenagers in a magical high school. I love Peggy as quidditch captain, strutting that confident attitude and pre-serum Steve gazing up at her all adoring-like. Perfect. *___*

Why this piece is awesome: Amazing, amazing artwork and likeness. This is supposed to be before they attached his arm, and we almost never get to see him like this, before he really became the Winter Soldier. He looks so terribly vulnerable - it's a heartrending piece. I don't usually rec more than one artwork by the same artist in a set, so I'll just point you to this follow-up piece by the same artist, for a happier Bucky, post-recovery. Also note the graffiti on his arm. :)

Why this piece is awesome: I love artworks of Steve as an artist, and this is excellent. Good likeness, and I love the colour contrast with the pic in grayscale and only the actual paint smears in colour. His eye's perfectly trained on us, so it seems like he's painting our portrait as we look at the art. Very nicely done.

Why this piece is awesome: This is an illustration for a story - sadly only in Russian. Wish I could read it as this is a delightful pic of a sad-looking and bruised post-serum Steve being comforted by 4 big fluffy white dogs, possibly Samoyeds if the comment below with this link is correct. Adorable floofs comforting Steve!

Why this piece is awesome: It's Steve's birthday today, and this piece is pretty amusing. I love the light-hearted, idealistic, slice-o-life quality to the artwork. Brings to mind a Norman Rockwell painting. Also Sam is particularly well rendered. ^__^

Why this piece is awesome: This artist has a really dynamic style with the hashed lines and messy, erratic markings. It gives a real sense of action to the piece that is perfect for Sam Wilson mid-flight. Also, I love how the wings coupled with circular graphic "halo" behind his head gives the impression of an avenging angel.

IDK why, but my favourite part is the red yarn coming from the IV bag, just KILLS ME DED. HEE. This entire comic is precious.

Why this piece is awesome: This artist has a bold style with attention to details and textures that breathes life into every piece she creates. I can easily imagine her pencil work as the kind Steve Rogers would have in his sketchbooks. As luck would have it, she has decided to create the "Brooklyn Sketchbook" series, made up of works as if by Steve Rogers. The first two pieces are shown below.
