Why this piece is awesome: Of all the entries in the DragonAges genderswap challenge something about this image in particular stuck with me, the slightly off kilter framing and rich colours captures the otherwordly earthiness of the character, plus as a genderswap it's quite well done.

Why this piece is awesome: I love reflectedeve's work, she's got such a unique style. She's one of my favourite fanartists. It took me some time to decide which one of all her wonderful bandom works to rec this month. In the end I settled on this one because I love how dynamic it is, how your eyes are kept moving from character to character. Since it's an illustration for a story about comics it's also delightfully meta-ish.
