Well, I imagine they have competition over slots? Really, trying to set up a schedule beyond "the first to claim a month for a fandom gets it" is too much effort and wrangling for my taste. If one month is convenient for lots of people, and another is not, the posting frequency may be more uneven, but as long as at least a couple of people can be found for a months, it's fine with me.
