Why this piece is awesome: It was extremely difficult to pick just one piece (or well, set of pieces) by hydrae; I love all their work so much. Their flowy, graceful lines, their use of symbolism and stylized layouts, the gorgeous gorgeous details and the unusual brightly-colored lineart ... I am a huge fan. These tarot cards are a really fantastic example of all those stylistic attributes, as well as being a nice, balanced set of images of the main cast.

There are so many amazing little touches! The callbacks to the Season 3 credits in Lydia's card (the tree being upside-down, and the reaching hands), the dynamic posing in Allison's (and those badass wolf designs), the way the mountain ash rises in smoke on from Stiles' hands but also appears to be flowing into blood below. Gorgeous. I highly recommend checking out the whole gallery. (Please note: it's full of stylized blood/injury imagery.)
