Why this piece is awesome: I didn't feel I could end the month without aa tribute to Alan Rickman's Snape. I'm not a fan of Snape the person but as a character, he was wonderful and Rickman made him not just JKR's character, but his own. This piece showcases one of the reasons why. It's a simple, beautifully executed portrait that does an incredible job of capturing the conflicted pathos of the character -- it's all in the eyes.
