Why this piece is awesome: This "cast photo" assembly of [almost] all the named female characters in the series is nostalgically faithful to the original animation while also firmly surpassing the original with this artist's smooth skill and just a hint of anime around the eyes. With the villains clustered toward the back, and the non-humans arcing left and the humans right in thematic groupings, this cheerful gathering seems to ask, "You remember us from Saturday mornings... don't you?"

Adjacent to the characters' cameo in the Honor Among Thieves movie this year, the cartoon finally got action figures and a limited comics run. Kid!me has been waiting a long time. ♥
