Why this piece is awesome: The summary is Why was it always fucking tentacles? and I think "Why is it always mad scientists?" could also be asked. The answer to both has to do with violation: of ethics, of laws of nature, of bodily integrity, of consent. This is a disturbing picture, with lots of little details that stick in the mind (fully-dressed cyborg!Rodney's one eye; the contrast between the bloody sawblades and robotic tentacle arms and John's naked skin).
