Why this piece is awesome: I love Carter's expression and the way she's resting her chin on Jack's shoulder; the comfortable companionship is sweet and poignant. (The suggestion of a little chin crease is a nice touch.) The misty buff vignetting and leafy-floral texturing make the piece romantic and muted and sunny and moody all at the the same time, just right for a quiet portrait of shared sadness.
