Why this piece is awesome: There's been an explosion of 'Stranger Things' fanart since the Netflix series aired. The scene of Joyce communicating with the other side through Christmas lights is understandably popular with artists. This version's especially great with the dramatic perspective and the reflections as the lights cycle. I love the moonlight as well, and the lighting generally. Also, here's kind of a WIP of the art. Why this piece is awesome: This is such a wonderfully atmospheric work. I love the way the beam of light illuminates Balin's tomb and lets us glimpse vague shapes elsewhere. And the tall pillars and what looks like writing or engravings on the walls add to the feeling of age and mystery.
