Why this piece is awesome: The ambivalent figure of Nux the War Boy (even his feet are undecided). I love how he's limned in light, the colours and the hints of fire in the dark, the rusting machinery, the lines of golden light as per traditional artistic renderings of such scenes. Also, the use of differently focussed layers for depth, giving the impression of flying sparks. The details are great, enlarged.
