Why this piece is awesome: This was one of the first works I found when I started looking for Narnia art. It made a big impression on me for two reasons. The first because I feel it captures both the mood and the setting of the scene perfectly. Their expressions and bodylanguage, the strong wind and the clear, high air. The second reason is much more mundane - I can't figure out what medium the artist's used. It doesn't look like either watercolours or markers or coloured pencils. It might be acrylics but it might also be oil pastels. Whatever it is, I love the depth and richness it gives to the colouring.
