these recs are definitely making me want to check this show out but I have to admit every time I see Clarke and Lexa I think it's rule 63 Smallville and have to pause.

Heee! I was never in Smallville so no cognitive dissonance for me, but I bet that's weird.

The show is good! I wrote up a pimp post last year here that mostly refers to the first season. Season 2 though is where it really knocks it out of the park, and where Lexa first shows up. Netflix has the first two seasons and season 3 is currently airing on the CW.
