Why this piece is awesome: Here we have Steven and Pearl in the climactic scene of "Space Race." Their poses and facial expressions perfectly capture the urgency and desperation of the moment. I love that the sky takes up the entire top half of the image — it's big enough to absorb Pearl's longing gaze, but not so big that it takes too much attention away from the characters. The star lines create a great sense of agitated motion.
