It was (is?) a fascinating part of it, that's for sure. Loved that. And I think I saw this particular piece of art shortly after The Rat Race, where Sherlock keeps practicing how to get out of handcuffs at the end because he hated to have lost control to the villain of the week during the episode - and it all just fit.
