Why this piece is awesome: I love the common fannish theme of putting Venom in a bottle or jar, and this is a very cute, well-done example of it! I like the simple lines that make it look like a design piece, I'm unreasonably delighted by the cork, and I think the artist did a good job of making Venom look all liquidy and moving.

This is a theme? I think this is the first Venom in a bottle piece I've seen. I wonder whether it is inspired by all those squid escape videos and such...

Well, I don't know how much of a theme it is, but I could have sworn I'd seen a number of examples, although now that I'm looking I can only find one other...
