Why this piece is awesome: It's both sweet and sinister. I love the coloring and composition, especially the way the snake is intertwined with the frame. Daffodils—a.k.a. narcissus—are a symbol of selfishness.

Awesome! Definitely traditional art, watercolours and coloured pencils would be my guess, to colour the lineart.
