Why this piece is awesome: I have a big weakness for watercolours and this is such a great example. The way the bold brush strokes build up the form on the white paper and the layering of colours are just wonderful.

Watercolours can be incredibly delicate so, I was happily surprise to see the deep hues and strong lines in this piece. Very beautiful.

The force and boldness of it is one of the things I really like about this work. And no, it's probably not what you first associate with watercolours but one of the reason I like the medium so much is how incredibly versatile it is. (Though I've changed the wording a bit to make it more clear.)
