Why this piece is awesome: TThis is a wonderfully eerie work, quite different from the usual sort of Moomin art. I particularly love the moody colouring and the way the illumination from the lightning makes hattifnattarna look both insubstantial as well as tangible.

It's interesting that so many of the artists that's done Moomin art seem to do predominantly non-fandom work.
