Why this piece is awesome: For my inaugural rec for A:TLA, I figured I'd start with this gorgeous portrait of the main four kids in an animation-esque rendition of a Chinese landscape painting. The colors are subtle, the figure drawings delicate and lovely, and I love how the artist has blended the art style of the cartoon with the style of traditional East Asian landscape paintings to create something uniquely reflective of the Avatar world.
