Why this piece is awesome: I love the contract between the detailed patterns in the wallpaper and the carpet and the sketch-lines of Charles' figure. The textures of the wooden floor and the table are marvelous, and I love the light from the lamp. This could be before the movie's end, with Charles waiting for Erik to come sit and enjoy a glass of wine with him, which makes this sweet. Or it could be after, with Charles waiting for Erik to just come back, and drowning the wait in wine, which makes it sad.
