Why this piece is awesome: This is such a wonderful work. It's neither just Gerard nor just Holly Golightly - it's both at the same time. I love how it blurs the boundaries between male and female and accentuates Gerard's androgyny and how both attractive and unsettling it can be.

I dunno about unsettling but, yeah, I'm most deffo *______* about J's wonderful fanart. To me, it's very Gerard with a sprinkling of Holly Golightly. I really love how Gerard's natural androgyny gets the spotlight. :D!

Yeah, I didn't express myself very well I'm afraid. Unsettling is probably the wrong word to use but I couldn't come up with a better one for the particular quality of mental dissonance I sometimes experience when looking at Gerard pics. The way he can look neither male nor female but both at once is both very attractive but also, well, unsettling. It doesn't have anything to do with the crossdressing though so I definitely need to come up with a better way of wording it. *ponders* ETA: Done!

It's a very striking portrait. The viewer can't take their eyes off of Gerard-as-Holly. It's kinda like, the longer you look at it (or any pics of RL!Gerard), the more that jumps at you and might tilt your worldview a smidgen or two. :)
