Why this piece is awesome: It's more expressionist than realist, and I liked how it showed the idea of Spock being lonely and taking comfort from his pet sehlat.

Why this piece is awesome: The narration between panels is clear and fluid and the effects of negative space are masterfully used. The grunge textures used and created along with the sharp shadows and contrasts of the style all immerse the viewer into this AU universe effortlessly. It's a great example of a comic page not needing text to convey a detailed story.

Why this piece is awesome: There's so much fantastic detail in this image. It's a perfect rendition of the way Bob and his bookshelf are described in the books, and every time I look at it, I notice something new. And the coloring and lighting are just gorgeous.
