Why this piece is awesome: The art is very cute! The chibi characters in the background really get the feelings across really well.

Enjoying Cloud in a dress is one of my favourite things about FFVII, (and canon even). Additionally, I enjoy this on a meta level, with Lightning is a character who is noted for her resemblance to Cloud - AC!Cloud's face is the same as Lightning, the kick ass female lead from FFXIII and in her earlier design she looked more like Cloud. Having something highlight their similaries even more, I find pretty enjoyable.

Why this piece is awesome: I have been a fan of S+pade for a long time and used to visit the artist's site, but sadly it no longer exists. Fortunately, someone has their art on photobucket! What I love about S+pade's ink sketches is the realism and real world scenarios that the characters are placed in. Seriously, these are some beautiful sketches! The photobucket user has most of them cataloged at their account.

Why this piece is awesome: I get a kick out of artists taking well-known characters and turning them into animals, placing them in unusual or real world settings, or swapping them up somehow. This is one of those times when the artist changes the characters into animals and I love which breeds were chosen based on personality.
