Why this piece is awesome: Squeezing a last rec in before the end of the month in most places. This is super hot, and I like the slick smoothness of the digital painting, which fits Eames's character. The black and white palette and the gun also give it a fifties noir look, which is cool.

Why these piecees are awesome: I really like this artist's style - it's bright and clear, with excellent likenesses (many artists get Arthur just fine, but Eames seems trickier to capture). These pics are done as polaroid snaps, one domestic and silly (featuring a very good dog), and the other a romantic action shot. Check out those lush lips - on both of them!

Why this piece is awesome: First of all, it's an ATC. I mean look at the amazing detail on this. And it's gorgeously done. Happy Dom/Mal juxtapositioned with the top, the inception crew and the wreck of the city with the border between them just has a powerful kick of melancholy and pathos. I can say though that I wish all these wonderful artists were a little more creative with naming their pieces.

Why this piece is awesome: I'm a portrait and figure person primarily and Inception has some wonderful ones but it also has some amazing graphic and design work and in this case this awesome dreamscape cityscape. There's such wonderful light and color in this that it has an ethereal feel perfect for a depiction of something created in a dream.

Why this piece is awesome:I couldn't decided between the other Arthur and this one, so why not both? Nothing beats Arthur's determined face and his defying gravity and the artist turns all that with a wonderful cartoon style. The flat colors and strong lines remind me of a 60's cartoon.

Why this piece is awesome: Totems are an important part of the movie and the artist exploits that by doing this terrific, graphic version of each one, complete with quotes from the characters making up the shape of their totem. Adding the vintage look pulls it together beautifully and these would have made wonderful alternate posters for the movie. The artist has alternate versions of these but I'm a sucker for that sepia tinted vintage look.

Why this piece is awesome: Ah, mirrors and forgeries! An Inception fanart trope I will never get tired of. Plus, dancing!
I love the colours in this piece, and the composition between the background, foreground and mirror couples. The details of Eames and Arthur's masks and clothes are exquisite. The whole thing is just beautiful.

Why this piece is awesome: This piece is just gorgeous. I looove the saturated watercolour, the whole palette is just brilliant, with the purple of the window being echoed on Arthur's skin. Really, the shear amount of hues layered on Arthur is amazing. The composition is great, and Arthur's pose is the perfect balance between focussed and relaxed. Awesomeness all around.

Why this piece is awesome: The reason why Arthur failed to discover Fischer's subconscious was militarized :D
What makes this piece work so well are the facial expressions: Saito frowning, Yusuf arguing, Ariadne being all attentive... and Cobb squinting, of course! I love that Eames' smirk still has a very fond quality to it, and Arthur's little smile is just precious! I'm amazed at how the pencil work manages to be both free and expressive as well as incredibly faithful to the actor's likeness.
I also love the unusual point of view, and the way the whole scene is backlit. A great piece all around.

Why this piece is awesome: Oh my God, I am so glad this piece was finally posted! This is hands down the best art to come out of the

i_reversebang challenge, and that is saying something, considering the level of greatness of that fest as a whole.
The concept of this piece is cracktastic, the execution is flawless. The difference in pixelation between the characters and the environment just works AND OMG THE CHARACTERS. Saito and Yusuf are gleefully badass, Eames wins at everything and Arthur, ARTHUR WHAT ARE YOU DOING? :D

You have to respect a fandom that can canonically send their characters into Super Mario, and this art deserves not only your respect, but your eternal admiration.
