Why this piece is awesome: I love how anuminis has made them seem so very plausible as old time cowboys. I think I like the aged version best, and they both suit the swaggering stance. Can't see Danny being thrilled about long-distance horse-riding, though - I think there'd be a lot of complaining!

Why this piece is awesome: It's a few years since I last reccd Hawaii five-O art, and in taking another look to see what's new, I discovered this absolutely stunning portrait of a sad-looking Steve. The detail and likeness are really amazing.

Why this piece is awesome: It's a cute drawing, and although I'm sure the artist in no way intended it, they look young to me, so in my head it's a college AU and they're both relatively new to all this and kind of awkward and sweet. Also, I really like Steve's hair.

Why this piece is awesome: This one's here for the Kono factor, because Kono is awesome. Steve and Danny are Kono's glove puppets! I love the details like Danny's tie, motormouth and furious flailing hands, and Steve's Navy shirt. Very cute!

Why this piece is awesome: So I'm doing Hawaii Five-O recs this month, and I'm going to try to locate original art, which is harder than you'd think. There'll be a spread of characters overall, but this first one's an excellent picture of Mr. Hearthrob himself: Alex O'Loughlin, aka Steve McGarrett. Very accomplished work, and he's so deliciously dirty, rumpled and sweaty-looking. Also a bit paranoid, so it's very in character.
