Why this piece is awesome: Colour that hits you between the eyes, whammo! I love the use of contrasting pale yellow and deep purple, and purple for black. Despite the neon colours it's very much a night-time picture, with the city's lights turquoise smudges behind them. I love the confidence of the brushstrokes and likenesses, the unusual comb-like texture brushes in the background, and details of shadows on their cheeks behind the dark glasses. Stunning.

Why this piece is awesome: Gorgeous work, and a stand-out scene from the movie, at once touching, intense and gruesome. Click to enlarge - it's worth seeing the details close-up. The eyes, the way Eve's cheek distorts around the popsicle, the trickles of blood. The colours are amazing as well.

Why this piece is awesome: This artwork has wonderful clean lines and a dramatic monochrome colour scheme with red highlights (of course). Great depictions of them both against Pegasus in the night sky, with shocking and poetic imagery.

Why this piece is awesome: Wow, where to even start. I'm endlessly impressed by watercolours as they're really hard to do well, and this one's gorgeous - luminous colours and depth, amazing detail conveyed with so few brushstrokes, and the light and shading is brilliantly done. The likenesses are excellent as well.
