Why this piece is awesome: This is a gorgeous remix of a past Sandman comic cover with Gwendoline Christie (who played Brienne of Tarth in GoT) as Lucifer from the 2022 TV version of The Sandman. I love her expression, the snakes, and the cocktail. Below the main image is another remix where she has long hair, and the references the artist used to create the paintings. Amazing work!

Why this piece is awesome: I love the layering with different levels of focus, and the dreamy, numinous quality of the light. Very appropriate for the Sandman, as is the simple colour palette.

Why this piece is awesome: Amazingly detailed ballpoint work (this artist's preferred medium). It's grotesque (not as surreal as most of their other work, though) and very striking, and I like the wonkily-sized corvidae flapping around the Sandman. Spooky and definitely worth clicking through to enlarge for the details. Plus - yay! - there's a WIP post with a slideshow showing the work developing. Don't click the big arrow up top (an ad) but R-click on the pic then hit "play", if it doesn't start by itself.
