Why this piece is awesome: Came across these two pieces a while ago and loved the easy intimacy in both of them and the way they seem to catch the characters in the middle of their life. The first one is very cosy and happy indeed, an abundance of warm colours and soft surfaces, and I love all the details in their position: Holmes' head in Watson's lap, the way they are looking at each other, Watson's hand in Holmes' hair... The second one is completely different in style: much less opulent with colours, the lines raw and direct. But once again, the intimacy is there in every detail, be it the suggested kiss that Watson is pressing to Holmes' shoulder, the almost possessive way he's lying on top of him, or their closed eyes.
