Why this piece is awesome: Both concept and execution of this are simply gorgeous. The two of them among the stars and as stars, looking up at each other, the difference between their hero personas and just Steve and Tony - so many great layers here. Plus, I adore the colour scheme and how on point everything looks.

Why this piece is awesome: I love EVERYTHING about this drawing. The vulnerability and trust in their pose, the fact that they are both smiling but that Steve is looking at Tony while Tony has his eyes closed, the forehead kiss, Tony's hand on Steve's throat, his rumpled shirt. I even love the old fashioned open razor blade. It's just a beautiful moment of quiet intimacy.

Why this piece is awesome: A Comics Civil War piece set right after Steve's death. I really like Shaliara's style and the way she captures their sadness and devastation here is heartbreaking. Love their hands and faces in particular and that they are half in the shadows.

Why this piece is awesome: Three favourite pieces from Phoenixmetaphor's 616 Inktober Series and the theme for my favourites is apparently Tony and Steve and animals! I've come to love this artist's style and these are very sweet and happy-making.
First one: Tony and three cats, sleeping on the couch, looking all soft and peaceful. Second one: Iron Man rescues a whale! Love the old armour. Third one: Cap protects a hedgehog! Cute and fun and it's almost like there's a conversation going on between Cap and the hedgehog. (Artist's tag "#steve is going to make whomever is throwing those rocks feel a deep and abiding shame" :-D )

Why this piece is awesome: Bucky and Tony and their modified bodies. Had to rec these two pieces because I'm a sucker for symbolism and because I love how they are done - certainly NSFW for a reason, but due to the broad strokes there's also a fascinating softness to their bodies and I love the colours and both of their postures.

Why this piece is awesome: One painting for each MCU movie, starting with Iron Man, ending with Infinity War. I love the design, the colours, the technique, and I love how this takes one striking scene from each movie - often not the one you'd have thought of first - and turns it into a slightly abstract/symbolic and very atmospheric painting. I initially planned to link to a couple of favourites, but my choice would change from day to day because they are all awesome in their own way and definitely worth checking out. I'd totally hang them on my wall in one row.
