Fandom: Sleeping Beauty (Disney) (Okay so no, THIS is the final one. Forgot I had this link saved as well and hadn't used it yet, and it's still Nov 30th somewhere in the world *g*)
Characters/Pairing/Other Subject: Maleficent and Diablo
Content Notes/Warnings: none
Medium: digital art
Artist on DW/LJ: just on DA
Artist Website/Gallery: peetietang on DA
Why this piece is awesome: Very dramatic, interesting perspective and I like the thorn-forest and Maleficent's dragon-form looming up behind her.

Characters/Pairing/Other Subject: Maleficent (the final in this series, just before it stops being November where I am)
Content Notes/Warnings: none
Medium: "I used a canson paper called 'mi-teintes pastel', I also used prisma colored pencils, (HB click pencil for the actual drawing) and some acylic paint and dyes."

Artist Website/Gallery:  6nailbomb9 on DA  (artist's also on DA as blasterkid)
Why this piece is awesome: It's another pretty scary piece of an especially evil Maleficent (kind of a fusion with The Joker), done with brilliant use of pastels (click to enlarge it to full size to see what I mean).

Why this piece is awesome: A particularly inhuman and creepy Maleficent - and Diablo the raven even more so. Great technique, too, it almost looks 3D like paper cutouts.

Why this piece is awesome:  Angelina Jolie as Maleficent.  I like the dark, malevolent feel to it and the hints of nastiness in the details.

Why this piece is awesome: A very dramatic and atmospheric painting. I like how the artist has used light and shadow and the dark, tangled background. Diablo the raven's pretty cool, too, and Maleficent's glowing eyes.

Why this piece is awesome:  Very smooth art skills, sexy pic of Maleficent with a bare midrif, and enchanted groping wall sconces. Nuff said.

This month I'm focusing on just one character from Disney's Sleeping Beauty - Maleficent the evil fairy or witch. Artists love her as she's very dramatic, as you'll see.  Sorry, but there's going to be very little variety in the titles of the artworks!

Fandom:
Sleeping Beauty (Disney)
Characters/Pairing/Other Subject: Maleficent
Content Notes/Warnings: none
Medium: digital art
Artist on DW/LJ:  He's a professional artist; his art blog's here but mostly not fanart.
Artist Website/Gallery: on DA
Why this piece is awesome: This is a great dramatic piece with fantastic perspective. It's kind of Maleficent as Sauron. The style's that of a graphic novel illustration, typical of Matt Rhodes' work.
