Why this piece is awesome: I love the confrontation, how the Imperium is embodied in a uniform. I also really love that this is done in greyscale, rather than color. Gregor is perhaps the most important secondary character in the books, and this encapsulates him perfectly.

Why this piece is awesome: I can very easily see this as the only woman in the universe who can handle Miles Vorkosigan. There's a gleam in her eye. This portrait seems to encompass the quiet confidence I'd imagine she'd have after a year or two of marriage.

Why this piece is awesome: First off, I really want to see the other ladies she says are in the book (and Byerly!). Second, this is such a neat idea, essentially a historical coloring book with different outfits and little authorial footnotes. Fabulous!
