Why this piece is awesome: So much outstanding art in this fandom, so little time! Even to try to give some idea of the variety in one month is impossible. But I want to introduce another artist with a very distinctive style and sense of humor.
Ever since Protowilson began teaching, she has depicted herself as a Professor at Hogwarts, usually having breakfast with her colleague Severus Snape. This is not a romantic relationship though, in her world, Professor Lupin is often lusting after Snape from just outside the panels!
As to her drawing style, deliciously exaggerated with excellent expression and always surrounded by a “wrought iron” frame. Give this a peek and I bet you’ll want to see more of Protowilson and her Hogwarts “colleagues.”

Why this piece is awesome: I couldn't decide whether to rec sei-kou-ki's Jade/Karkat art or her Aradia-in-a-suit AU and then she created this Karkat/Jade 30s AU combining some of the things I love from both. I don't really ship Karkat and Jade but I love how she combines Jade's innocent cheer with Karkat's grumpiness, and the simple but expressive art captures the characters and clothing adorably. The pixelated style matches nicely with Homestuck (and having drawn fanart of her art: it's harder than it looks!)

Merlin's magic another epic fail by rnng (pg)

Artist Website/Gallery: the only place I could find the most of this artist's art is through their tag on Drawmelot: rnng (which excludes this one drawing, but includes the rest I've seen from this artist. I really recommend them all!)
Why this piece is awesome: I want to rec this artists for their clean, fine lines, beautiful shadows, expressive faces, and talent with composition. This piece goes through a story with a thousand different moods, depending on how you want to view them, always with a little twist at the end - and I want to view them all. My usual favourite is how Arthur tries to do the good thing and not peek, but is completely unable to resist. When I'm moodier, I wonder if he's just discovered Merlin's magic, and discovering Merlin at a new angle (in several ways) while also recognizing the person he's always known. Have I mentioned it's completely gorgeous, carefully detailed and great realistic portraits with a definite style?
