Looking for reccers for upcoming months

There is still about a week left in January, but it's time for our regular reccer recruiting post, and to look ahead to the next month. So far we have six volunteer reccers who signed up for February with these fandoms:

*Bandom (turlough)
*Doctor Who (werwolfsfan)
*Hetalia: Axis Powers (snowynight)
*Powerpuff Girls (erinptah)
*Sherlock Holmes (torachan)
*Torchwood (thady)

So we have a nice mix of recs to look forward to next month (and a big thanks to all reccers signing up, especially if you rec regularly), but there is still room for you to jump in and volunteer to rec in February.

Looking even further ahead so far three reccers have volunteered for March, so that month could use some love (and recs! *g*) too. So please consider reccing in a fandom of your choice, whether small or huge, and comment on the sign-up post and volunteer for February, March or even further ahead if you are so well organized, that you know your fannish interests and time commitments in advance. (Or promote us to your friends so they do the work. *g*)

Why these pieces are awesome: Ok, time to get shippy!!! :D
Marika has done a series of Arthur/Eames pieces, all of which I adore. All of them are digital paintings with very clean vector work and flawless use of references, but I've singled out three of them that show the range of her skills. I love Chillin' for the intimacy of the pose contrasted with the boldness of the colour used. The play in lineweights in Too much dreaming, daaarrling is just fantastic, beautifully styled like an old school architectural rendering. Trip shows off Marika's skills with colours and textures. The realism of their faces is particularly well done, a mix of outlines and shading, which I love. Really though, all of her Inception pieces are worth a look, as is the rest of her extensive gallery.

Why this piece is awesome: I saw the prompt after I saw the picture, otherwise I might not have clicked on it. I'm glad I did though. It's both gorgeous and beautiful, almost ethereal, and sad and haunting and disturbing. Even though the subject matter squicks me, this picture manages to transcend this.
