Why this piece is awesome: I really had a difficult time selecting a first piece to rec for the Natuto fandom, not only because there are so many amazing artists, but also because the manga and anime have a cast of hundreds of unique and interesting characters. This piece exemplifies how well the character design is done and how fans take to characters who might only be around for one story arc. It's also a beautiful and emotive piece. Nivalis70 has a wonderful gallery with other lovely work; I suggest browsing for a while.

Why this piece is awesome: mmmira has a lovely, fluid, graphic style (you should check out the rest of her work!) that's very different from the series and most other fanart, but works amazingly well. And it's really fun to look at; I especially love Sayaka's stern profile and how much Mami loves her rifle.
