Why this piece is awesome: Houmura's outstretched arm and the chains holding her back, the ways the other girls are arranged on their chairs, the variety of chairs, seriously, how long did that take. The depth and layering of texture and color, the strange perspective and how it allows Homura's hand to be so close/so far at the same time.

Why this piece is awesome: This was made as an illustration for the fic The Bearskin Cloak and is full of elements of the story, but I think it can also stand on its own. The level of detail is amazing. It truly looks like a fairy tale illustration from one of your old and favorite fairy tale books, brown on brown, and utterly gorgeous.
