Why this piece is awesome: I really like the evil-but-gorgeous-Victoria story arc and this pic is wonderfully intimate and shows Fraser just glazed and lost, with her fingers in his mouth in the classic image. The details don't make sense of course - like her thin dress surely isn't what she'd have worn, and his fur coat around them might not be quite what he'd actually wear either, but I like that it resembles a nest so am happy to allow the artist some artistic licence. And I really like the effect of the falling snow.

Looking for reccers for upcoming months

There are still some days left in September, but it's time for our regular reccer recruiting post, and to look ahead to the next month. So far we have five volunteer reccers who signed up for October with these fandoms:

* Disney (snowynight)
* Generation Kill (thady)
* Sherlock (BBC) (sylvaine)
* Stargate Atlantis (busaikko)
* White Collar (mific)

So we already have a some recs too look forward to in October, but it would of course be awesome if we had more recs, especially since it is our one year anniversary month. There is still plenty of opportunity for you to jump in and volunteer to rec next month (or to convince your friends to do some reccing) to celebrate one year of fanart recs. Many cheers though for all of our members who volunteer to rec, especially if you rec regularly.

Looking even further ahead so far only one reccer has volunteered for November, so that month could use some love (and recs! *g*) too. So please consider reccing in a fandom of your choice, whether small or huge, and comment on the sign-up post and volunteer for October, November or even further ahead if you are so well organized, that you know your fannish interests and time commitments in advance. It's only four recs as a minimum, and you can rec any genre or rating. Or promote us to your friends or in your favorite communities so others do the work.

Why this piece is awesome: More Doctor Who-as-an-owl art for the win! I am sort of terribly enamored of this fanart trope. The artist has made an entire series of this. I love how these owls are round and puffy with big cartoon eyes. I just want to snuggle them!

Why this piece is awesome: There's two versions of this piece, the sketch and the finished version. I urge you to look at both, since they are each great in their own way. My favourite parts about the sketch are the facial expressions and the textures, my favourite part about the finished version is the contrast between the deep red background, Naruto's all-white suit, and Sasuke's all-black suit.
