Why this piece is awesome: It's always interesting, when browsing dA and the fuckyeah Tumblrs, to see what the art-y part of any given fandom finds worth drawing. And one thing they definitely like? the scantily-clad ladies of Asgard. This drawing of Valkyrie (warrior goddess and protector of those who die in battle) is definitely sexy, but not in an overbearing way. Instead there's a lot of pretty, well-executed. With the grace and movement in Brunnhilde's pose, cape, and weapons, you can imagine her trudging through a snowfall on her way to Jotunheim, ready to slay some Frost Giants.

Why this piece is awesome: I like the way the artist drew Sherlock's greatcoat - so many different ways to draw that texture. This makes it look scratchy in the best way. Her expression is lovely, and the contrast of the texture of the coat and the smoothness of her skin is nice. I really like that the light comes from behind her.
