Why this piece is awesome: Fern_tree's Life on Mars art is perpetually, completely wonderful, but this one in particular captures such an amazing sense of atmosphere. The lighting, the haze, the sense of the small, closed in space and the heat between the two of them... I am in awe.

Why this piece is awesome: For one thing, it's a series of "neckless doodles" - a fern_tree specialty which works far better than one might ever imagine. Fern's cartooning style is so effortless and awesome, and she captures such a wide range of expressions.

Why this piece is awesome: Okay, so I'm reccing Mythbusters this month. This is a great drawing, excellent detail and technique and it captures them really well. It's also an introduction to Adam and Jamie of the Mythbusters, in case anyone out there doesn't already know them. Not all of the subsequent art will be quite this recognisable. :)
