Why this piece is awesome: I love the artist's distinctive style! Her simple comic figures are adorable, and there's something very appealing about the toned-down coloring. I chose this particular piece because the subject matter made me laugh, and because the Girl is utterly adorable.

Why this piece is awesome: It demonstrates in a nutshell what the two main pairings of Life on Mars are about. The cartoon style accentuates aspects of the characters; I'm very enamoured with Annie's curves, Sam's changing attitudes and Gene's attachment to his cigarette.
