Why this piece is awesome: This is such a great portrayal of Liz Shaw. I love the combination of competence and sass in it - the clipboard full of diagrams, her ironical eyebrow, and the frivolous flip of her coat. She's quite an underrated companion so it's always extra nice to see a work dedicated to just her.

Why this piece is awesome: Oops - I got caught up and didn't notice July was becoming August - but here's my last Game of Thrones piece as it's still July in parts of the world. This is a very accomplished portrait, and there's a video of the drawing process - hang in there until the end as there's a bonus suprprise in the vid that you don't see in the picture on DA. The link to the video's on the DA site, but I'll give it here as well: time-lapse video here. I love watching how artists work like this; it always seems magical.
