Why this piece is awesome: I love the feel of this work. It's so very Moomin-ish and very Scandinavian. The subdued colours are just right for a Nordic conifer forest at the end of summer and the way everyone is concentrating on their own patch is so typical of mushroom picking.

The artist talks about an episode of the TV cartoon but to me it feels like a prequel to the short story The Invisible Child. I'm convinced Lilla My is picking Rufous Milkcaps :-)
