Why this piece is awesome: This portrait of Gerard as a vampire is great fun. Stylistically it's all classical horror - dark colours and stark lighting, blue-tinted pale skin and glowing red eyes. The content on the other hand - his grumpy-teenager expression and the way he holds the blood bag as if it was a juicebox - is all typical Gerard dorkiness.

Why this piece is awesome: Tentacles!! Fangs!! This is such a great dramatic piece, and the colours are gorgeous. I love the contrasting red glow, the cool blue-greens and the foreground purples, the perspective showing how trapped they are in the depths of the compactor, and the thick, muscular tentacles of the monster - especially the tentacle just starting to wrap around Chewy. A lot of this artist's work is professional, but this is one of a number of fanart pieces he's made. Enlarge for full scariness!
