Hello, everyone! This month I'll be reccing Bandom fanart. I'm mainly into My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy, but there is a lot of amazing Twenty One Pilots fanart and none of it has been rec'd here, so I'm going to start off with that.

Why this piece is awesome: I don't actually know who Josh Dun is apart from the fact that he's obviously the drummer for Twenty One Pilots (he's holding drum sticks), but this piece of fanart is objectively awesome. The red and gray color scheme is beautiful and reflects the colors in the music video it references. It's a born-digital work, but the brush strokes are satisfyingly painterly. I also love the impressionistic smudge of what looks like red eyeshadow. But my favorite part might be the interesting vertical purple background texture.

Why this piece is awesome: One thing I loved about the first season of Elementary was its thread of control and vulnerability and negotiation of power dynamics - and this scene fits right into that. It's a rough sketch, but I love how clearly the characters are drawn, one of Joan's hands on Sherlock's head, while holding a steaming mug with the other.
