Why this piece is awesome: These are illustrations for a fic, which means without having read it, there's some context missing. BUT. I'm reccing it here for the art alone, because these are pretty unique in style when it comes to fic illustrations and it's easy to appreciate the art and the atmosphere without knowing every detail of the story. I love the almost slow-burn quality they have and how well they fit the universe they belong to, which is Marvel Noir. The colour scheme is great for that, as is the use of dark and light. And I love the choice of focus, how this condenses things down to one moment or object. Save for the very last image, there aren't even any faces visible in these - if there are people at all, they are silhouettes or body parts (alive ones!). Just wonderful art.
