Why this piece is awesome:
Soft colours and misty, blurred clouds capture the vision of a thunderstorm hanging low over the Golden Hall, even threatening it with a bolt of lightning... and yet there is still a clear light in the west, and the bright flowers of simbelmynë glow on the burial mounds of the Kings of Rohan.

If you like this piece, the rest of the artist's work is definitely worth checking out! Their style is well suited to illustrating the mythic atmosphere of Tolkien's settings.

Why this piece is awesome: Another series of Firefly pics, and this time I'm focusing on Wash and Zoe Washburn, my favourite couple. This is a great portrait of Wash fooling with the dinosaurs, all lit up and perky, with Firefly in the background. Very nice work.
