Why this piece is awesome: I like the perspective in this piece; this is the scene from the novel where Xie Lian meets San Lang riding in the back of an ox cart, but instead of doing a closeup of the two figures on the cart, the artist zooms out and shows the entire landscape, with mountains in the background. I also love the muddy red of the fall foliage (even the sun is red!).
