Why this piece is awesome: An atmospheric, painterly alien worldscape made entirely in Photoshop. I like the range of brightness from deep shadow to ethereal glow, the iconic-to-SG-1 conifers and pyramid rendered in silhouette against the stardusty sky, the visual echo of the humanoid silhouetted against the wormhole's light, the mysterious auroral light coming from beyond the hills, and the blend of the familiar and the wonderfully strange.

Why this piece is awesome: Because you read the prompt "John and Rodney in Enchanted by Disney" and then check this out, and it completely exceeds expectations. Rodney's human, John's a cartoon, and the way the two worlds meet seamlessly is amazing (Atlantis and the Gate are both half real-half cartoon!). The artist also included a fabulous Behind the Scenes feature (so many Photoshop layers, so much research).
